Denise Coley
Director of Global Supplier Diversity Business Development at CISCO

As Director of Global Supplier Diversity Business Development at Cisco Systems, Inc., Denise Coley drives the Supplier Diversity initiative by

developing and facilitating relationships between diverse business suppliers and Cisco. The mission of the program is to increase customer satisfaction and improve sourcing through diversification of Cisco’s suppliers.

Prior to joining Cisco, Denise was the Purchasing Operations Manager at SGI (Silicon Graphics), managing the Supplier Diversity program and the Corporate Purchasing Operations Group.
Prior to joining SGI, Denise was employed by Apple Computer, Inc. During her thirteen-year tenure with Apple, she held various strategic management positions. Her roles included providing programs to encourage workforce diversity while developing and implementing career development programs mentoring.

Ms. Coley earned her BA in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the George Washington University, her MA in Speech Pathology from the University of the Pacific, and her MBA from the University of Phoenix

Allan Chou

Mr. Allan Chou (www.choustr.com) is currently the owner of Beijing Tinselbird Advertising (www.tinselbird.com). Mr. Chou and his staff have created one of the most innovative boutique advertising agencies in Asia. They have married the best of traditional advertising and marketing expertise with the innovative thinking of our digital age!

Mr. Chou has, for the past 9 years, focused on helping multi-national companies in China and abroad to establish unique branding and innovative marketing ideas for the global Chinese speaking markets.

Before Mr. Chou started Tinselbird Advertising, he was Managing Director of Greater China at AdXplorer, the leading digital marketing firm in Asia. Mr. Chou started with AdXplorer in the year 2000 as its Regional Marketing Director and worked to become the General Manager of its Beijing operation in March of 2001. Mr. Chou also headed up the integrated marketing efforts in Asia as its Senior Vice President of Integrated Services. During his tenure, Mr. Chou found new ways to help clients to better utilize all the extraordinary benefits offered by the Internet and SMS marketing.

Before his AdXplorer duties, Mr. Chou was the group account director at SAATCHI & SAATCHI China. He helped Saatchi & Saatchi to win Media Magazine’s Agency of the Year Award in the year 2000 and launched several award winning television commercials for the first wave of the booming Dotcom industry in China, including NetEase (the most popular portal in China) http://www.tinselbird.com/wangyiweb/index.html. He was also the head of Megavision, the television programming and syndication arm of the fable agency before tackling traditional advertising.

Mr. Chou ran his own media consulting business before joining SAATCHI & SAATCHI. He helped several multinational media companies with their preparation for market entry into China. His clients include Creative Artists Agency (the largest talent agencies in the World) and the Fred Silverman Company (one of the most successful television production companies in Hollywood).
Prior to the start of his stint in China in 1995, Mr. Chou worked for over a decade in politics in the United States. Mr. Chou was Deputy Finance Director of the Clinton/Gore Presidential Campaign in 1992. He also worked as Chief Assistant Secretary of State under the Hon. March Fong Eu for five years.

Mr. Chou is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton in Political Science.

Bart Fisher
Founder/Advisor of CHDT

Bart Fisher is a lawyer, investment banker, and philanthropist. He is also the Founder and Advisor for CHDT.

CHDT (CHDO.OB) is a holding company that sources many of its products from China. The flagship company of CHDT is Capstone Industries, which develops innovative, patented and unique products for consumers of all ages. Products sold include STP power tools, gifts, lighting products, booklights, flashlights, and promotional products. CHDT has also imported from China generators and roof tiles.

He attended Harvard Law School, the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies for his Master and PHD, and Washington University. Dr. Fisher has taught international trade and investment at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, the Elliott School of International Affairs of George Washington University, and George Mason University. He was a Fellow in the Foreign Policy Studies Division of The Brookings Institution (1968 to 1969).

Mr. Fisher is listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in American Law, and Who’s Who in America.

Xiaohui (Sharon) Yu, Esq.
Principal and Attorney at Law, Law Offices of Yu & Associates

Xiaohui (Sharon) Yu, is an international lawyer with the practice focus on business transactions, foreign investment, international capital market,

corporate governance, corporate finance, cross-border merger & acquisition, customs, technology licensing, securities, banking, business immigration, and dispute settlement matters. Ms. Yu graduated from one of the leading U.S. law schools, New York University School of Law. She is a member of American Bar Association and China Bar Association. Ms. Yu worked at the People’s Bank of China before coming to the U.S. and she practiced law at top international law firms including White & Case, B&H, and Herbert Smith in the U.S. and U.K.

Ms. Yu has represented many U.S. companies in their direct investment projects in China in various industries. She also provides legal services to meet the needs of Chinese companies on U.S. related international investments. Ms. Yu provides a broad range of services, including conducting due diligence, structuring business deals, draft and review contracts and documentations, issuing legal opinion, and assisting clients in business negotiation and communicating with government authorities. Her working languages are Chinese and English.

Ms. Yu has published several legal articles and book chapters including the "International Law Dictionary". She is frequently invited to deliver speeches at international conferences on the topics of legal issues in establishing corporation and non-profit organization, as well as doing cross-border investment and business transactions in China and the U.S.

Zhong Chuanshui
Division Director, Department of WTO Affairs, Ministry of Commerce

Mr. Chuanshui Zhong, a veteran trade officer began his career in 1988. He earned a Master’s degree in Economics from Fudan University.

Before being appointed as the First Secretary in the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office to the Embassy in the U.S., Mr. Zhong served at the Ministry of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC, now the Ministry of Commerce, MOC) and was responsible for various trade matters including Asia-Europe Meeting, APEC Investments, negotiation on preferential agreement among Asian countries, Textiles, intellectual properties rights, Uruguay round negotiation of GATT, and China’s accession to WTO. Mr. Zhong has more than eighteen-year rich experience in the field of international trade and currently is the Division Head of the Department.

Chenbo Wang

Mr. Wang Chenbo has been practicing law for 20 years and has rich experience on corporate law, contract law, investment law, real estate law, etc. He has

represented numerous major domestic and multinational corporations in the matters of corporate finance, M&A, cross-border investment, dispute resolution, corporate reorganization, and all kinds of litigations on Chinese courts.
Lawyer Wang Chenbo is now the partner of Shanghai Hua Lian Law Firm and the supervisor of Shanghai Bar Association. He is also the counselor of the people’s government of Shanghai Yang Pu District and is the Deputy Director of the 11th Economic Committee of Shanghai Yang Pu District Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Mr. Wang Chenbo was awarded the Advanced Individual of Shanghai Judicial and administrative organ of 2003, Shanghai Model Worker of 2001-2003, and was honored Shanghai Excellent Lawyer by Shanghai Bar Association in 2004.

Juanjian Jia
Gemalto (Greater China), Legal Counsel

Mr. Junjian Jia, obtained LLB from a leading Chinese law school and earned a LLM in the U.S. Mr. Jia has rich experience in the legal field of foreign investment in China.
He has served as the head of China legal department for the well-known

multinational corporations including SK, Lafarge and Gemalto successively. He took the lead on many green field investment and merger and acquisition projects by foreign investors, and managed legal affairs of foreign invested companies in China successfully. Mr. Jia worked at Beijing taxation authority before commencing his legal practice as a lawyer in renowned Chinese law firm and legal counsel in multinational corporations.

Cheng, Yongshun
Senior Consultant, Former IP judge, Kingsound & Partners

Mr. Cheng started his judicial career in 1982 and he was vice presiding chair of the No. 3 Civil Division

(IP Tribunal) of Beijing High People’s Court and the 3rd level of Senior Judge. Mr. Cheng is one of the pioneering judges who first heard intellectual property cases in China and has handled personally many influential intellectual property trials in China. Many times on different occasions the Chinese national as well as municipal authorities awarded him for his academic and practical contributions to the IPR enforcement in China during his judicial career. In honor of his remarkable contributions to the development of the judicial system of IPR protection in China, he was nominated one of the three important IP figures in China and one of the 50 world’s “IP's most important figures” and “independent-minded judges” by the publication of Managing Intellectual Property in 2003. Mr. Chen is also the Founder and Director of Beijing Intellectual Property Institute.

Ming Chow

Ming received his Master of Computer Science in 1985 and had worked in the telecommunication industry for almost eighteen years. The companies that

Ming worked for including AT&T Bell Laboratories, Fujitsu Network Switching, and Hughes Network Systems. Ming held positions from a Member of Technical Staff, Manager, Senior Manager, to a Director. Areas that Ming contributed including engineering, product management, business development, and marketing.
Ming joined United States Patent & Trademark Office in 2002 and, being a Patent Examiner, had prosecuted numerous high-tech patent applications. In 2006, Ming founded the Intellectual Property Think Tanks – Sinorica, LLC.

Virginia Littlejohn
President and CEO of Quantum Leaps, Inc


Quantum Leaps, a Washington-based NGO, helps women’s businesses grow. It focuses on access to markets and global supply chains, and works with

governments, international institutions, associations, corporations, foundations and entrepreneurs to share global best practices.

Activities in 2007 include a UK Study Tour to San Francisco and Silicon Valley focused on high-growth; leading a public-private partnership to develop “Roadmap to 2020, a Strategic Framework for Women’s Enterprise Development in the U.S.”; and conceptualizing a way to m the ROI from investing in women’s entrepreneurship. Quantum Leaps is also working with 35 multinational corporations to develop a certification and training initiative to get growth-minded firms in North America, China, India and the EU that are 51% or more women-owned and managed into the global supply chain.

Ms. Littlejohn chairs TradeBuilders, which provides virtual trade missions and trade facilitation. She was President of America’s National Association of Women Business Owners, Vice President of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs, and a long-time member of the U.S. Chamber’s Small Business Council. She has been the OECD’s Senior Advisor for Women’s Entrepreneurship, and frequently speaks at APEC forums on women, SMEs, trade, global supply chains and the digital economy

Madinah Ali

Madinah S. Ali is founder and president of MSA Global Advisory Group (MSA Global), which is an emerging contact center provider with both domestic, near shore,

and offshore capabilities in the US, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific region. Her expertise is directing organizations through change, continuous quality improvement, and team building, while developing strategies to improve customer service processes in domestic, near shore, and offshore contact center industry.
Prior to founding MSA Global, she served as global project manager with Equant, an IP and telecom provider owned by France Telecom; and a management consultant with PriceWaterhouse Coopers in Singapore. She has worked extensively internationally, consulting and training in program management and customer service. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Florida A&M University, and holds international publications in the India Journal of Applied Economics. She holds a Masters Degree fromCornell University in Applied Economics, and completed the Executive Project Management Program from Georgia Tech, Dupree College of Management.
She currently serves on the Women’s Leadership Forum for the Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), and also serves on the Global Business Committee. Maria Xia
Maria Xia, Co-Founder and President, Asia

Maria Xia has owned a Pacific Rim consulting firm for almost 20 years that specializes in governmental relations, business migration and tourism in the Asia Pacific region.


Based in Shanghai, she also has offices in Taipei Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Los Angeles. Fluent in both English and Chinese, she has successfully assisted many multinational corporations, mid- to small-size companies, and individuals immigrate to and from Asia Pacific countries and the United States (including, but not limited to, China, Taiwan, South East Asia and Australia). She has led trade missions and promoted tourism between China, Taiwan and the U.S. for more than 25 years.

She now resides in China to represent companies and help establish their business and branding in the Asia Pacific market. One of her clients is The Coffee Beanery Ltd.. the largest American coffee chain in U.S. She serves as the President and CEO for their Greater China market and has opened 18 stores in 6 cities since 2001.

Marilyn Johnson
IBM Corporation Vice President, Market Development

Marilyn Johnson is Vice President of Market Development for the IBM Corporation. In this capacity, she leads an organization responsible for developing IBM’s strategy

for and marketing to businesses owned or operated by Asians, Blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans and Women in the Americas. Her focus includes select global markets for women business owners. She is an executive with extensive management experience in sales and marketing in the information technology industry. She is a graduate of John Marshall University and holds two Masters in Education degrees. She has held leadership positions in and continues to be a member of many business and professional organizations. She is a member of the Executive Boards of the Council for Better Business Bureau and the Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Foundation. She currently has 12 mentees. Camilla Costillo
President of Superior Design International, Inc

A native of Majorca, Spain, Carmen Castillo is the President and owner of Superior Design International, Inc., (SDI). Carmen is a multi-faceted individual who is fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian. In 1992, she founded SDI in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The company offers web-based

vendor and supply chain management services and tools, IT and technical temporary staffing, and payrolling services with an emphasis on low cost, quality-driven service.

Carmen is an experienced and highly visible entrepreneur who has achieved success through her outstanding work ethic and the development of a clear vision of her company's future. This has enabled her to grow SDI from a small startup to an international company with business operations in the U.S., Canada, Europe, China, and India.

SDI is certified as a minority-owned business enterprise by several National Minority Supplier Business Council (NMSDC) adjuncts. SDI is also certified as a women-owned business enterprise by the Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Carmen is very active in community affairs in both South Florida and New York City, particularly in minority and women-owned business enterprise development.

Sarah Bates
President & Chief Executive Officer for New Technology Steel, LLC

President & Chief Executive Officer of New Technology Steel, LLC
In the Spring of 2000, Bates purchased the assets of a failed company in

Detroit, Michigan and began the operation of New Technology Steel, LLC a minority Steel Service Center. Sarah accepted the challenge and successfully rebuilt and improved internal operations and external attributes, all while developing a new, stronger customer base.
Ms. Bates acquired a second facility in Erie, Michigan in May of 2002. The reputation of New Technology Steel earned the confidence of many customers and this newly acquired plant grew to capacity levels, operating seven days a week in a very short period of time.
In August of 2003, Bates acquired her third facility, an established Blanking facility in Toledo, Ohio. This venture has proved to be very successful and is now known as New Technology Steel Blanking Facility. Sarah’s expansion plans are continuing with a new Steel Service Center located in the Southern Region of the United States and internationally in 2007.
New Technology Steel currently employs approximately 150 people.

My Luu
IBM Corporation Marketing Executive, Market Development

As Market Development Executive on IBM’s Small and Medium Business team. My Luu leads the strategy and execution for developing the market for women-owned businesses in Asia.

Ms. Luu also works closely with IBM’s Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs team to help with the strategy, content and rollout of a Small and Medium Enterprise Toolkit that IBM is further developing with the World Bank to provide information, resources, and tools to entrepreneurs in underserved and emerging markets. Ms. Luu also leads the strategy and marketing for IBM’s Base of the Pyramid initiative, which is leveraging technological innovations to address the needs of the 4 billion people who make up two-thirds of the world population but individually earn less than $5 a day.

Previously Ms. Luu led worldwide media relations and launched advocacy programs for IBM. Before IBM, Ms. Luu was a diplomat at the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan, and before that, a PR Manager at Motorola.

She holds an M.B.A. from Cornell University and a B.A. from Yale College.

A Chinese-American born in Vietnam, Ms. Luu lived for 13 months at a refugee camp in Malaysia before immigrating to the U.S. in 1980. She has lived, worked, and/or traveled in more than 30 countries and speaks Chinese (Cantonese), Russian and Spanish.

Ying, Shea
Executive Director, Cisco China Policy & Government Affairs.

Ms. Ying Shea , Executive Director, Cisco China Policy & Government Affairs, has more than ten years experience in government affairs, public affairs and foreign investment in Asia and specifically in China.

Ms. Shea has developed a deep understanding and expertise in telecommunications and IT policy and was involved in regulatory and policy issues on behalf of foreign multinationals and investors of China's 3G standard. More recently she had advised the European Commission on its Information Society initiatives with the China State Council Information Office.

Ms. Shea has worked with companies in a variety of industries such as Telecom & IT, medical & health, education, media and financial services to undertake market research, identify investment opportunities, evaluate potential partners, conduct feasibility studies and due diligence investigations, assist in the negotiation of joint ventures and advise on government relations issues with which, in China, all these activities are interlinked.

Ms. Shea is a native of the People's Republic of China and was educated in China, the US and Canada. For the past 20 years she has lived and worked in US, Canada, Korea, Hong Kong and China.

Anne Chen
IBM, Director, Asia Pacific Sourcing

Anne Chen is Director, Asia Pacific Sourcing based in Shanghai, China. She leads an organization responsible for developing IBM Procurement strategy, execution, and supplier relationship management for Indirect Procurement of Asia Pacific region.

She started her career with IBM 19 years ago and has extensive experiences in the field of finance, operations, and supply chain management. Prior to her current positions, she was the Chief Financial Officer of International Information Products Corporation (IIPC) in Shenzhen, China. Before her move to Asia five years ago, she held leadership positions in business units including IBM Global Technology Services, Integrated Technology Delivery, Global Business Services, and System Technology Group where she had management and financial responsibilities in North America and Latin America regions.

Anne holds an M.B.A. from Baruch College, City University of New York and a B.A. from National Taiwan University with an Accounting major. She is a certified Management Accountant and serves as member of The Procurement Strategy Council China Strategy Peer Group and the Supply Chain Executive Board. She is married with two children.

Sarah Bajc
Business Director of Microsoft China Research and Development in Beijing

Sarah is the Business Director of the Strategic Partnership Group of Microsoft China Research and Development in Beijing. SPG is responsible for driving the development of a robust technology ecosystem in China. This includes five different initiatives encompassing several hundred partners in the areas of software development outsourcing, hardware and device manufacturing, digital entertainment systems, systems integrators and independent software developers.

A key additional component to her role is launching an Intellectual Property Ventures initiative in the Greater China Region. IPV will invest both mature and emerging technologies into high growth Chinese companies as well as provide guidance on strategy, business development, partnerships and financing.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Sarah ran the North American operations of a global software quality firm, where she also drove the evaluation of outsourcing options in China. Before that, she founded four companies: a manufacturer of specialty textiles, a venture backed software company, an employment process consultancy, and a corporate research firm. Sarah began her career in Management Consulting. Sarah has been a regular speaker on the effective use of technology and human capital in high growth environments. She was an Executive Delegate on the AEA trade mission to China, and is a Founding Ambassador for the Georgia China Alliance.

Michele Joseph
President of Klick Consultants LLC

Michele Joseph is the president of klick consultants LLC, a Silver Spring Maryland based marketing consultancy which builds and sustains customer loyalty among businesses experiencing transition. Ms. Joseph has nearly two decades of experience in marketing and brand management for Fortune 1000 companies.

As a consultant, Ms. Joseph facilitated the National Customer Positioning Planning Sessions for the Army Contracting Agency (ACA). During the sessions, she assessed ACA procedures and policies, and evaluated customer service through the ACA Contracting Life Cycle Analysis. In addition, Ms. Joseph partnered with the corporate brand management group of former Bell Atlantic and GTE to implement the Verizon Communications brand over an 18 month horizon. She has also worked as the strategic marketing representative for the Government Systems division of Silicon Graphics, Inc. where she developed successful target marketing initiatives for DIA, DISA, NSA and Lockheed Martin. While at Microsoft, she functioned as the advertising consultant for the launch of version 3.0 of Sidewalk.com online directory. Lastly, as part of her seven-year tenure in New York City, she coordinated the "Let Yourself Go" promotional campaign for the Bermuda Tourist Board sponsored by Food and Wine Magazine, a subsidiary of American Express.

Between her undergraduate and graduate degrees, she modeled with Wilhelmina Modeling Management in New York. She established and sustained her profitable fashion and runway model business through relationship marketing with twenty-two clients. She grew her sole proprietorship to seven states and three European countries by negotiating rates and contracts with clients such as Liz Claiborne, Nordstrom's, Claude Montana, and Chanel. While in New York, Joseph partnered with a fellow model and launched a jewelry and scarf accessory business, Bernie of New York. Over the past fifteen years, the company has grown its revenues 200 % and the accessories are sold nationally in stores such as Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus.

While at APCO and Edelman, he was the Chairman for Government Cooperation Committee under the China Quality Brands Protection Committee (QBPC).
