Prior to Cisco, he was at Nortel Networks and at Bell-Northern Research in Canada, where he was a senior member of the scientific staff for wireless and network management systems.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mr. Sin spent 18 years in North America. He received his PhD in Technology Management from the University of Waterloo in Canada.

Chia joined IBM since 1987. She spent 10 years of her marketing career in global market management, and 3 years in developing constituent owned market Development.     Marilyn Johnson is Vice President, Market Development for IBM Corporation. In this capacity, she leads an organization responsible for developing IBM’s strategy for and marketing to businesses owned or operated by Asians, Blacks,

    Hispanics, Native Americans and Women in the Americas. Her focus also includes women owned, led and influenced businesses in selected markets around the globe.

    Marilyn is an executive with extensive management experience in sales and marketing in the information technology industry. In recognition of her sales achievement, she has received numerous awards. On behalf of IBM Market Development she accepted the Center for Women’s Business Research, “Leading By Example Award”. She has been recognized with the “Corporate Visionary Award” from The Count Me In - Women’s Business Growth Forum and named one of “The Top 25 Influential Black Women” by The Network Journal Magazine. Marilyn was inducted into the YWCA of New York City’s prestigious Academy of Women Leaders and is a Sequoyah Fellow.

    Marilyn is a graduate of John Marshall University and holds two Masters in Education degrees. She is a member of the Executive Boards of the Council for Better Business Bureau, the Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Foundation and the National Council of Negro Women. Ms. Johnson is a charter member of the American Airlines Marketing Board of Advisors and the Advisory Board for One World Theater in Austin, Texas.

    She has been applauded for her active commitment to mentoring and coaching activities and currently has 16 mentees.

    Marilyn has been a featured speaker for numerous professional organizations around the world, including The World Diversity Conference in the City of Prague in the Czech Republic, the Black Women Executive Roundtable hosted by the Mayor of Paris, France, and B.I.G. (Blacks in Government), Washington, DC. Ms. Johnson represented IBM and accepted the "2007 Corporate Supporter of Women Entrepreneurs Award" in Beijing, China.

    Marilyn has been featured in Working Mother Magazine, ESSENCE Magazine, Minority Business News, Women’s Enterprise Magazine, Financial Times – United Kingdom, The Atlanta Tribune, Global Executive Women and The Network Journal Magazine. She has two children, Erinn and Christopher.

    Ms. Monica Lin joined Cisco in May 2000 to build the COT Operations team and set up internal ASIC Operations infrastructure. Her roles and responsibilities were gradually

    expanded within GSM during her early career at Cisco.

    Monica accepted the current assignment and transferred to Cisco Taiwan in 2006 as GSM pioneer to establish the GSM global team and launch globalization strategy. Globalization is one of Cisco’s priorities as well as GSM’s key initiatives; regional suppliers sourcing and talent development are the primary focus areas in the region. Throughout her 10-year service in Cisco, Monica has been deeply involved with both Semiconductor and Electro Mechanics commodity supply bases and Cisco's fundamental requirements.

    Patricia Yim was named Vice President, Coverage & Geo Expansion, GB , IBM Great China Group in 2009. Prior to this appointment, she was the Vice President, General

    Business, IBM Asia Pacific and Managing Director of IBM Singapore.

    Preceding that, Ms Yim was the Director of Global Small Medium Business for IBM ASEAN/South Asia and before that, she led the Marketing and Sales Operation for Global Small Medium Business in Asia Pacific for two years.

    She joined IBM Singapore in 1985 as a trainee in the Sales and Distribution organisation and spent the next five years in the General Business and Channel organisation as a Marketing representative.

    Paul Lu is CEO of Wuxi Cloud Computer Center. Paul also holds the director of Sun Open Source Innovation Center – Wuxi, a non profit government sponsored organization dedicated to open source movement in China.

    Paul started his career in 1987 as engineer in Wuxi Radio Factory, China. He improved the production process by exploring MRP system. From 1998 to 2003, Paul was the senior software engineer in BancTec, US, where he improved BancTec’s Remittance and PayCourier system. From 2003 to 2007, Paul was the head of IT department of Huawei Technology USA. His responsibilities cover all perspectives of IT department for an international company. Paul played key roles to create a diversified IT labor force and good working environment to combine strengths from Huawei, a very strong Chinese management style, and US local culture and management practices. Paul also made significant contributions to improving Huawei’s corporation level IT management and received Huawei’s President Award in 2007.

    In 2007, Paul was selected by Wuxi 530 Plan, which promotes overseas Chinese talents to return to China to start up business, and created a company Wuxi Softpower Technologies dedicated to SaaS. From July 2008, Paul also held the CEO of Wuxi Cloud Computing Center. Paul and his team made many progress in the areas of customer requirements, technical specifications, system management, and business models for Wuxi Cloud Computing Center.

    William has more than 16 years experience in telecommunications industry. Prior to the current position, William was the Vice President, General Manager of Cisco China’s Service Provider business responsible for major mobile operator business. Before his assignment in China, William was responsible for driving Cisco’s Mobile Wireless business and strategy for Asia Pacific. William has become a trusted partner of the leaders of the major service providers in Asia Pacific.

    William began his telecommunications career as a software engineer with Bell Northern Research in Canada (which became Nortel) in the early 1990's. William was heavily involved in developing wireless systems including GSM, CDMA, and 3G while in BNR. William moved to Hongkong in 1999 where he became the Director, Wireless Solutions Asia Pacific for Nortel. He was subsequently appointed as the Director, Intelligent Internet Business Unit Asia Pacific, responsible for driving Nortel’s Enterprise Data business for the Asia Pacific region before leaving Nortel in 2003. William is amongst few executives with responsibilities in both mobile wireless and data/IP networking.

    Prior to joining Cisco, William worked with The Hong Kong Jockey Club and was responsible for leading the club's eCommerce strategies and systems for its betting and entertainment business. Over the past 2 years, he successfully revamped the Jockey Club's Internet Betting services and developed numerous wireless betting and infotainment services using GPRS, 3G, Paging and Wireless LAN technologies. The experience in Jockey Club equipped William with the user perspective on exploiting mobile wireless services to raise productivity and revenue opportunities for an enterprise.

    William holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer engineering from the University of Calgary, Canada.

    Ms. Ying Shea

    Cisco has nearly twenty years experiences in business, technology, government affairs, public policy and foreign investment in Asia and specifically in China. Ms. Shea has developed a deep understanding of government relations

    and has built up connections within most key Chinese ministries and institutions both at central and local levels.

    Ying has special expertise in telecommunications and IT policy and was involved in regulatory and policy issues on behalf of foreign multinationals and investors of China's 3G standard. She had advised the European Commission on its Information Society initiatives with the China State Council Information Office.

    Ying has worked with Chinese and foreign companies in a variety of industries such as Telecom & IT, medical & health, education, media and financial services to undertake market research, identify investment opportunities, evaluate potential partners, conduct feasibility studies and due diligence investigations, assist in the negotiation of joint ventures and advise on government relations issues with which, in China, all these activities are interlinked.

    Ying is a native of the People's Republic of China and was educated in China, the US and Canada. For the past 20 years she has lived and worked in US, Canada, Korea, Hong Kong and China with her husband and two sons.
